Winter Sinton Trail closure Feb 19 – Mar 5
UPDATE: The Sinton Trail is reopened under I25 on Feb 11. Work on the Colorado Springs Utilities waterline installation has been postponed until February 19 due to an unanticipated project change. This means the trail will remain open for Winter Bike To Work day on Feb 14 .
The rescheduled closure will begin Tuesday, February 19, 6:00 a.m. This closure is part of the ongoing I-25 construction project in the area. Please plan alternate routes using Chestnut Street and the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. Officials expect to reopen the trail on Tuesday, March 5. This schedule is weather and resource dependent.
Detour options for bicyclists and pedestrians
- South on Chestnut Street, crossing I-25 at Centennial Boulevard to reconnect with Pikes Peak Greenway Trail.
- North on Chestnut Street to Garden of the Gods Road, reconnecting with Pikes Peak Greenway Trail east of Pikeview Reservoir.
- Garden of the Gods Road to south on Chestnut Street.
- Filmore to Chestnut Street

Be aware there is construction occurring on the West side of the Pikes Peak Greenway north of Uintah and Centennial, to use the Centennial detour will require connecting via the Mesa Springs Greenway (west of I25) or Recreation way
