Sinton Trail under I25 opens Earlier Than Expected!

Sinton Trail openings started Friday, April 12th and for each weekend in April.
Daily Openings began starting April 29th!
CDOT has opened the the south side of the Sinton Trail under Ellston Street daily in May through late August. Intermittent closures may still occur during this time.
Sinton Trail Opens Early! Weekends in April, Daily May-Aug
Great news for trail users! This critical connection connecting the Pikes Peak Greenway to the Garden of the Gods Corridor will be open under I-25 sooner than anticipated.
Weekend Openings Start This Friday!
That’s right! For the first time since mid-February, the Sinton Trail will be open for public use weekends in April openings will be:
Friday, Apr 12 5:00 pm open through Monday, Apr 15 6:00 am
Friday, Apr 19 5:30 pm open through Monday, Apr 22 6:00 am
Friday, Apr 26 5:30 pm open through Monday, Apr 29 6:00 am

CDOT will be opening the south side of the Sinton Trail under Ellston Street daily in May through late August. Intermittent closures may still occur during this time.
Important Information for Trail Users
- The Sinton Trail remains an active construction zone. Trail users should be aware of their surroundings and exercise caution.
- Weekend openings will be determined on a weekly basis throughout April. The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will evaluate the construction site each Friday to determine if the trail can be safely opened for the weekend.
- CDOT will be opening the south side of the Sinton Trail under Ellston Street daily in May through late August. Intermittent closures may still occur during this time.
- Detour routes will be in effect during construction work and trail closures. Signage will be updated to reflect these detours.
