Welcome to the Bike Colorado Springs Bike Ambassador Program

Our young Bike Ambassador program founded in 2020 is a community resource built to locally support all things bicycles. In the programs first year our Ambassadors helped Parks staff the Garden of the Gods Early Bird Hike & Bike events, supported trail ribbon cuttings, and distributed Bike To Biz Week materials to local businesses.

The Bicycle Ambassador program is all-volunteer but serve in a professional capacity, partnering with beneficiaries to support events and projects throughout the Pikes Peak Region.

Want to become a Bicycle Ambassador?

If you are a community-minded individual, we are looking for people like you help us build out a full fledged program in the Pikes Peak Region modeled after the successful Fort Collins Bicycle Ambassador Program.

About Paula – Bike Ambassador Lead/Outreach Chair

Paula Krantz moved across the country to Colorado Springs in 2004, drawn by the opportunity for year-round road cycling. Her professional background there encompassed providing Marketing and Office Management support for a small non-profit. After an unexpected early retirement, Paula decided to use her volunteer passion and desire to engage with the community in a meaningful way and she became a team member on the Trails, Open Spaces, and Parks (TOPS) Working Committee. Her interest in cycling advocacy and community engagement led to joining the newly-minted Bike Ambassador program in 2019. Reaching back to that passion for volunteering made it natural to step up as volunteer lead/coordinator for the City Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services monthly Motorless Morning and Early Bird Hike & Bike events. In between trips with a local cycling group and weekend kayaking, Paula looks forward to building on the Bike Ambassador program, reaching out to new riders, and spreading the joy of our extensive system of urban trails and bike lanes.
