It Takes A Community

Spectacular scenery, acres of open space, miles of trails and pathways, relatively mild climate (for Colorado) and a developing, bike friendly infrastructure are just some of the reasons people who ride bicycles love Colorado Springs. Granted, there is work to be done to make the “Springs” and surrounding communities even more bike friendly. Working together, the broad community of cyclists and supporting agencies can make Colorado Springs not only a world-class cycling destination, but also make streets safer and more attractive to everyone who wants to ride a bicycle.

Colorado Springs Bike Tax

Colorado Springs is unique as one of a handful of places with a Bicycle Excise Tax, to our knowledge there are only three places that have a tax of this nature; Honolulu, the state of Oregon, and Colorado Springs.
