Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, June 24, 2026 but the fun starts early with FREE bike clinics, workshops, and community events throughout May and June! Whether you’re riding solo, riding with your family, organizing coworkers, or representing a community group, here’s why you should join:

Never biked to work before? No problem!

Get Ready to Roll on June 24

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned cyclist, Bike to Work Day on June 24th is the perfect opportunity to kickstart a healthier habit, connect with fellow riders, and reduce your carbon footprint. If you don’t own a set of wheels, don’t worry—you can still participate by hopping on a PikeRide, our local pedal-assist e-bike share non-profit!

Whether you’re new to navigating our city on two wheels or a seasoned pro, check out Bike Streets to plan your route, figure out where to lock up, avoid construction, or add your own off-the-beaten-path, low-stress connections. Free Bike Clinics & Events

Get prepped for Bike to Work Day with expert tips, maintenance help, and group rides! Visit the City’s Bike to Work Day website to register for any of the clinics and events below.

📅 May Events

  • Find Your Ride: Adaptive Cycling Clinic
    • When: Thursday, May 28 | 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM
    • Where: Memorial Park – Criterium Trail (West of the Velodrome, 250 S Union Blvd)
    • What: The Pikes Peak region is made for exploring, and adaptive recreation helps make the outdoors accessible for everyone. Come try out adaptive cycling equipment, learn cycle safety, practice basic maintenance, and discover new ways to get outside and have fun! This hands-on clinic is completely FREE.
  • Ride Leader Training (Two-Part Session)
    • When: Friday, May 29 (Classroom: 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM) AND Saturday, May 30 (Group Bike Ride: 9:00 AM – Noon)
    • Where: 430 N Tejon St, Colorado Springs
    • What: Hosted by Bike Colorado Springs, PaCMan (Pedestrian and Cycle Manitou), and Colorado Springs Cycling. Learn how to confidently lead community rides! Friday evening covers classroom learning, followed by a Saturday morning group street-ride through downtown COS roads and nearby multi-use paths.
  • Bristol Beers & Gear Expo
    • When: Saturday, May 30 | 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • Where: Ivywild School (1604 S Cascade Ave)
    • What: An outdoor expo and equipment market right outside Ivywild School! Features outdoor gear vendors, environmental education, networking opportunities with local clubs and nonprofits, live music, and excellent local beer. Come hang out with the community and see what’s new in the outdoor scene.

📅 June Events

  • Get Outdoors Day
    • When: Saturday, June 6 | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • Where: Memorial Park
    • What: A wonderful partnership event between the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance (PPORA) and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) designed to get kids and families engaged with the outdoors. Bike to Work Day organizers will be on hand offering kids the chance to take a fun fitness challenge!
  • Basic Bike Maintenance & Flat Repair Clinic
    • When: Saturday, June 13 | 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    • Where: Epic Mountain Gear (2450 Montebello Square Dr)
    • What: Learn how to properly care for and maintain your bike, alongside essential trailside and roadside fixes—especially how to patch or replace a flat tire. This is a hands-on clinic, so bring your bike! Please note: Open to standard pedal bikes and pedal-assist e-bikes only (no e-motorcycles, one-wheels, or scooters).
  • FREE Pre-Commute Bike Inspections
    • When: Wednesday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 23
    • Where: Colorado Springs Bike Shop (622 W Colorado Ave)
    • What: Make sure your setup is perfectly safe before the big day! Drop by Colorado Springs Bike Shop for a completely free bike safety inspection. Just make sure to mention you’re getting ready for Bike to Work Day to unlock the offer!

Bike Home from Work Happy Hours!

The morning commute is only half the fun! Keep the wheels spinning after the workday ends and roll into these local post-ride celebrations on Wednesday, June 24:

Cerberus Brewing Free Pour

What: Celebrate a successful Bike to Work Day with Bike Colorado Springs and Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates! Swing by after your commute to give your ride a little love at our free bike tune-up station. Show up on two wheels and you’ll score $1 off pints as a reward for riding!

It’s Not Too Late to Get Involved!

Biking is better together! We are looking for community leaders, local businesses, and organizations to help make this the best Bike Month yet – More info on the Official City Bike to Work Day Website:

  • Register as a Corporate Champion: Encourage your employees to ride. Create friendly competition across departments, offer flexible working hours on June 24th, or hand out prizes for the best commute or coolest commuting gear.
  • Host a Breakfast Station: Support local commuters by hosting an official morning stop on Wednesday, June 24. From 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, stations along the urban trail system and at local storefronts will be fueling riders with free breakfast, coffee, and major high-fives.
  • Sponsor or Host a Bike Clinic: Offering a free bicycle clinic in advance of Bike to Work Day is another great way to bring visibility to your business while giving riders essential safety skills.
