Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, June 24, 2026 but the fun starts early with FREE bike clinics, workshops, and community events throughout May and June! Whether you’re riding solo, riding with your family, organizing coworkers, or representing a community group, here’s why you should join:

Get Ready to Roll on June 24

Whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned cyclist, Bike to Work Day on June 24th is the perfect opportunity to kickstart a healthier habit, connect with fellow riders, and reduce your carbon footprint. If you don’t own a set of wheels, don’t worry—you can still participate by hopping on a PikeRide, our local pedal-assist e-bike share non-profit!

Recurring Events & Rides

Most of these happen every week over the summer so give it a shot during bike month then keep it going all summer long!

  • The Wednesday Ride
    • When: Every Wednesday evening | 5:30 PM Check-in, 5:40 PM Roll-out
    • Where: Starts at The Lincoln Center (2727 N Cascade Ave), meeting in front of Building 3 Coffee
    • What: A casual, no-drop social group ride that rolls 10–12 miles through downtown Colorado Springs. It’s a fantastic way to explore the city and make new friends. Bring your own bike, or grab an electric PikeRide right from the Lincoln Center hub station!
  • The Wednesday Ride: Summer Clinic Series with Angletech (Cycle Different)
    • When: Every Wednesday evening throughout June | 5:30 PM Clinic & Check-in, 5:40 PM Roll-out
    • Where: Starts at The Lincoln Center (2727 N Cascade Ave), meeting in front of Building 3 Coffee
    • Weekly Clinic Schedule:
      • June 3: Basic Bike Maintenance Clinic
      • June 10: Tires, Tubes, and Tubeless Clinic
      • June 17: Let’s Talk Bikepacking Clinic
    • What: Roll up to your favorite mid-week urban cruise early to level up your bike knowledge! Angletech is hosting a rotating hands-on clinic series each week before the ride to help you get comfortable wrenching on your own rig. After the clinic wraps up, we will take off for our classic, casual 10–12 mile no-drop social loop through downtown. Bring your own bike or grab a local PikeRide right from the courtyard station!
  • UpaDowna Community Pedal Parties
    • When: Every Thursday evening throughout June | 5:30 PM Check-in, 6:00 PM Ride
    • Where (Rotating Weekly):
      • June 4: Cerberus Brewing Company (702 W Colorado Ave)
      • June 11: Goat Patch Brewing at the Lincoln Center (2727 N Cascade Ave)
      • June 18: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort (2415 W Colorado Ave)
      • June 25: STIR at Wahsatch (2330 N Wahsatch Ave)
    • What: A 6–7 mile, family-friendly, beginner-paced community ride utilizing local roads and gravel paths like the Pikes Peak Greenway. Accompanied by UpaDowna’s friendly “Yeti Crew” to make sure no rider gets left behind, everyone returns to the host site for post-ride food and drink specials ($1 off pints at the breweries) and prize giveaways! Note: Loaner helmets are available, and you can reserve a PikeRide e-bike in advance for $5.

June Bike Month Events & Rides

Many of these are bike month specific but some of them are just great events happening this June, but whatever the reason, take advantage while you can.

  • COS Native & COS Racing Group Bike Ride
    • When: Thursday, June 4 | 5:30 PM (Note: In 2026, Thursday of this event week falls on June 4th)
    • Where: Fossil Craft Beer Company (2845 Ore Mill Rd #1)
    • What: Meet up for a group ride hosted in partnership with COS Native and COS Racing! Even better: a percentage of the profits from the event goes directly to supporting Kids on Bikes, helping to make cycling more accessible for youth across Colorado Springs. Come for the ride, stay for the community, and grab a pint for a great cause!
  • Get Outdoors Day
    • When: Saturday, June 6 | 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
    • Where: Memorial Park
    • What: A wonderful partnership event between the Pikes Peak Outdoor Recreation Alliance (PPORA) and Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) designed to get kids and families engaged with the outdoors. Bike to Work Day organizers will be on hand offering kids the chance to take a fun fitness challenge!
  • PikeRide Community Group Ride: Stellina Pizza Cafe
    • When: Tuesday, June 9, 2026 | 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM
      (Ride rolls at 6:00 PM)
    • Where: Stellina Pizza Cafe (749 E Willamette Ave)
    • What: Join PikeRide in the historic Mid Shooks Run neighborhood for their official monthly community group ride fundraiser! Come early between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM for pre-ride dining and sipping. The group departs at 6:00 PM for a casual, 1-hour (approx. 8-mile) loop through local neighborhood greenways.
    • The Perks: After the ride, stick around until 9:00 PM for extended happy hour pricing and BOGO eats! Even better: the first 25 riders to mention PikeRide at the register score a free small gelato courtesy of Underline!
    • Bikes & Gear: Bring your own personal bike to ride for free, or reserve a PikeRide electric e-bike in advance for just $5. Helmets are highly encouraged; bring your own or borrow one from the PikeRide fleet on-site.
  • PikeRide PrideRide
    • When: Wednesday, June 10, 2026 | 6:00 PM
    • Where: Streetcar 520 (520 S Tejon St)
    • What: Join PikeRide in the trolly district for an on bike Pride Month kick off at Streetcar 520 from there they will ride to America th Beautiful park then head back for more community vibes. extra points for rainbow decorated rides and riders.
  • Basic Bike Maintenance & Flat Repair Clinic
    • When: Saturday, June 13 | 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
    • Where: Epic Mountain Gear (2450 Montebello Square Dr)
    • What: Learn how to properly care for and maintain your bike, alongside essential trailside and roadside fixes—especially how to patch or replace a flat tire. This is a hands-on clinic, so bring your bike! Please note: Open to standard pedal bikes and pedal-assist e-bikes only (no e-motorcycles, one-wheels, or scooters).
  • Roll Bike Art Festival Opening Night
    • When: Friday, June 13
    • Where: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort (2 El Paso Blvd)
    • What: Kick off the celebratory weekend at the 22nd Annual Roll Bike Art Festival Opening Reception, running from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. This beloved community tradition showcases bicycle-themed artwork and brings together local artisan vendors, great food, and live music for an evening that captures the spirit of cycling culture.
  • Buffalo Lodge 10th Anniversary Celebration
    • When: Saturday, June 14
    • Where: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort (2 El Paso Blvd)
    • What: A full day of festivities honoring a decade of Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort. From a morning group ride, to a DJ’d pool party, ending the night with a festive Yacht Rock concert, there is something for every age and every taste.
  • FREE Pre-Commute Bike Inspections
    • When: Wednesday, June 17 through Tuesday, June 23
    • Where: Colorado Springs Bike Shop (622 W Colorado Ave)
    • What: Make sure your setup is perfectly safe before the big day! Drop by Colorado Springs Bike Shop for a completely free bike safety inspection. Just make sure to mention you’re getting ready for Bike to Work Day to unlock the offer!
  • Bike Month Bash: Taproom Takeover Benefiting PikeRide
    • When: Friday, June 26
    • Where: Mash Mechanix (429 E Pikes Peak Ave)
    • What: Join PikeRide at Mash Mechanix from 5-10pm where $1 from every drink supports your local nonprofit ebike share and with the PikeRide team working behind the bar, all tips go directly toward advancing our community through human-focused transportation! Compete to find the strongest rider in town, celebrate our 8th birthday and Bike Month, and meet fellow riders and PikeRide staff.

Bike Home from Work Happy Hours!

The morning commute is only half the fun! Keep the wheels spinning after the workday ends and roll into these local post-ride celebrations on Wednesday, June 24:

City Rock/Commonfork ride in special

What: Stop by Commonfork for a ride home special after work. Commonfork will also provide free bike parking on the closed-in patio for the evening. Just show your helmet or your recorded Bike to Work Day ride on Strava or BikeStreets to unlock your special.

Cerberus Brewing Free Pour

What: Celebrate a successful Bike to Work Day with Bike Colorado Springs and Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates! Swing by after your commute to give your ride a little love at our free bike tune-up station. Show up on two wheels and you’ll score $1 off pints as a reward for riding!

It’s Not Too Late to Get Involved!

Biking is better together! We are looking for community leaders, local businesses, and organizations to help make this the best Bike Month yet – More info on the Official City Bike to Work Day Website:

  • Register as a Corporate Champion: Encourage your employees to ride. Create friendly competition across departments, offer flexible working hours on June 24th, or hand out prizes for the best commute or coolest commuting gear.
  • Host a Breakfast Station: Support local commuters by hosting an official morning stop on Wednesday, June 24. From 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, stations along the urban trail system and at local storefronts will be fueling riders with free breakfast, coffee, and major high-fives.
  • Sponsor or Host a Bike Clinic: Offering a free bicycle clinic in advance of Bike to Work Day is another great way to bring visibility to your business while giving riders essential safety skills.
