Walking and Biking Audit materials

Developed by AARP Livable Communities, the Walking and Biking Audit Toolkit  provides practical tools to assess neighborhood walkability and bikeability, helping communities identify strengths and needed improvements. The toolkit’s checklists and guidelines enable residents to evaluate infrastructure like sidewalks, crossings, and bike lanes – essential elements for creating livable, age-friendly communities.

As accessible mobility options are crucial for aging in place, AARP advocates for safer, more inclusive streets that benefit residents of all ages.

Winter Riding tips

Colorado Springs is a great city to ride in year round. While morning can be a bit chilly, 300+ days of sunshine a year make it so winter days often warm into the 50s and any snow is but a remnant in town after a day or two. For winter riding tip view our Riding Through Winter posts and view the Bike Fort Collins videos below
