Sinton Trail closure Nov 12-25
UPDATE 12/4/24 – The Sinton Trail under I-25 has been been reopened, due to construction activity trail access is now routed on the road clearly marked with signs and cones. Pease be cautious and watch for construction traffic when passing through the area. Next closure is several months away and will be for girder placement we’ll make a new post when the date is set.
We have just heard from the project team that the closure for demolition of the old bridge has been scheduled to start at 6 a.m. Tuesday November 12, officials expect to reopen the trail on Wednesday, November 20 depending on weather. We thank the project team for clear an timely communication of upcoming closures and for the work they’ve done to keep the trail open this summer.

Heads Up for Future Closures
While the trail is generally open, there will be some short, periodic closures to watch for:
- Fall/winter 2024 A longer closure of likely more than a month is anticipated due to drainage work requiring an open trench across Ellston Rd.
