Fillmore Bridge Replacement Open House

Fillmore Bridge Replacement Open House: Potential Greenway Closure

The City of Colorado Springs is in the early planning stages of the Fillmore Bridge Replacement Project, which may completely close the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail under Fillmore Street during construction. This crucial project aims to replace the aging bridges over Monument Creek, the Greenway Trail, and the Union Pacific Railroad. While the project will significantly improve safety and connectivity, it’s important to be aware of potential disruptions to your commuting and/or recreational routes.

Bike Colorado Springs is advocating for the trail to remain open during construction. If a full closure is unavoidable, we are working to ensure a safe detour is put in place to maintain connectivity.

Construction will not start until 2027 at the earliest.
