Support Bike Colorado Springs on Giving Tuesday

2020 has been a unique year for Bike Colorado Springs, we kicked off the year shifting to an updated structure allowing for increased autonomy. Then the pandemic hit bringing more people to bicycles then ever. With increased ridership, we need your support more than ever.

Your donation will help Bike COS achieve our mission in 2021 an into the future. Become a member at one of our various membership levels, donate for some Bike COS Clothing or donate a different amount that you are comfortable with.

Our Mission at Bike COS is Making Bicycling Better in the Pikes Peak Region for people of all ages and abilities by:

Advocating for safe and connected on and off-street bicycle infrastructure

We advocate for safer more connected bicycle infrastructure through collaborating with city parks and Traffic Engineering departments; having regular meetings with Colorado Springs Traffic Engineering and as a collaborative member of the Colorado Springs Parks Trails Team meeting which have recently started back up.

Teaching people how to access and safely use our bicycle network

The Bike COS Education effort teaches both bicyclists and drivers how to safely use our roads through Bike Friendly Driver, Auto Friendly Bicyclist, and Ride Leader Training. Our all-volunteer education committee also promotes safety through social media and other activities to increase the level of education and awareness for safe bicycle travel for both on-street travel and our many miles of off-street multi-use trail facilities.

Uniting businesses, organizations and individuals who embrace bicycling

With our newly launched Bike ambassador program we are building programs to engage with our community during these ever-changing times. We have been working to formalize our ambassador program since we launched and are working to engage in new creative ways as well as through traditional rides and events once conditions allow.

Celebrating the strength of a community that pedals

More than ever building a strong, connected community that embraces one another, welcomes riders of all skill levels and celebrates our community’s success are needed as bicycles are seeing unprecedented adoption. Be sure to follow on all of our social media platforms and join our Facebook group to engage with our local community.

We understand that this year has been hard on many people in our community and we understand if you are unable to help financially at this time. If you are able to help Bike COS in any way it would be much appreciated on this giving Tuesday. Be on the look out for new volunteer opportunities and more ways to engage virtually with Bike Colorado Springs
