Sinton Trail under I25 Final stretch
Sinton Trail realigned to North Side of Elston Rd During South trail reconstruction
We wanted to capture the end of this years long I25 project impacting The Sinton Trail which is expected to wrap up September 23rd with a ribbon cutting September 24th 2026. We thank the project team for keeping the trail open as much as possible during the final phases of construction, and making a clearly marked detour for trail users

Sinton Trail under I25 Key Details:
- Trail Remains open under I-25
- Trail users rerouted onto new North sidewalk while south trail/sidewalk is reconstructed
Future Phases:
Chestnut Underpass – The westside of the chestnut underpass was paved during the recent Sinton Trail reconstruction, the East side will be repaved back up to Ellston St (will not be routed under I25 next to the creek) at the end of the I25 Project
Future Sinton Trail Improvements:
Holland Park to Centennial – Trail will be addressed during a planned stormwater, timeline depends on FEMA funding.
Centennial to GoG Road – be dependent on funding availability, but likely PPRTA 3 dollars, since other corridors are being addressed.
Centennial Underpass: The Centennial Underpass reconstruction approved by voters as part of PPRTA 3 is still in planning stages – more details coming.
