Bike to Work Day is EXACTLY one week away! 🚲✨

Wednesday, June 24th, thousands of neighbors across Colorado Springs will be trading four wheels for two. Whether you’re a seasoned rider or testing out a two-wheeled commute for the very first time, it’s time to map your low-stress route on Bike Streets, prep your gear, and get ready for a morning full of free breakfast, coffee, and major high-fives across the city.

Here is what you need to know to get ready for the big day:

🛠️ Tune Up at Our Final Pre-BTWD Clinics

Don’t wait until Wednesday morning to make sure your rig is rolling smoothly. We still have a few excellent opportunities to get you and your bike 100% prepped:

  • Let’s Talk Bikepacking Clinic & The Wednesday Ride
    • When: Tonight, June 17 | 5:30 PM Clinic, 5:40 PM Roll-out
    • Where: The Lincoln Center (2727 N Cascade Ave), in front of Building 3 Coffee
    • What: Learn the ropes of packing up your bike for adventure with Angletech (Cycle Different), then join our casual, 10–12 mile no-drop social loop through downtown.
  • FREE Pre-Commute Bike Inspections
    • When: Today (June 17) through Tuesday, June 23
    • Where: Colorado Springs Bike Shop (622 W Colorado Ave)
    • What: Swing by the shop, mention you’re getting ready for Bike to Work Day, and the team will give your setup a completely free safety inspection!
  • UpaDowna Community Pedal Party
    • When: Thursday, June 18 | 5:30 PM Check-in, 6:00 PM Ride
    • Where: Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort (2415 W Colorado Ave)
    • What: A family-friendly, beginner-paced 6–7 mile community cruise on local roads and gravel paths. Stick around for post-ride food and drink specials!
  • Colorado Springs Bike Party
    • When: Thursday, June 18 | 7:00 PM Check-in, 7:30 PM Ride
    • Where: Cocktails after dusk (8 E Bijou St)
    • What: Ride as you are – Have a costume? wear it. In work clothes? that’s great. Join for the ride and stick around for cocktails and conversation after.

🎉 New Station Highlight: Cottonwood Creek Trail!

We are thrilled to announce a brand-new official Bike Colorado Springs Breakfast Station for June 24th!

If your morning route takes you through the north side of town, make sure to plan a stop along the Cottonwood Creek Trail right near the Frisbee Golf Course.

  • Morning Station Hours: 6:00 AM – 9:00 AM
  • The Details: We’ll be out there fueling your commute with morning treats, fresh coffee, and plenty of cheer. Come say hi to the Bike Colorado Springs team, grab some Torchy’s Tacos, donuts and Coffee, and take our survey to tell us how you want to see your local advocacy organization building community and advocating for better connections around our city.

🍻 The Fun Doesn’t Stop at 9 AM: Bike Home From Work!

The morning commute is only half the fun! Keep the wheels spinning after the workday ends and roll into one of our local Bike Home from Work Happy Hours. Treat yourself to post-ride discounts, community vibes, and free tune-ups:

  • Goat Patch Brewing & Medicine Wheel Tune-Up (Lincoln Center): Swing by after work to give your ride a little love at the free tune-up station. Show up on two wheels and score $1 off pints!
  • Torchy’s Tacos (InterQuest & Academy Locations): Show your Helmet, Get a Free Queso! Celebrate Bike to Work Day at Torchy’s! Show your bike helmet with any purchase and receive a free half queso.
  • Cerberus Brewing Co. Free Pour: Roll up on two wheels, show them that you joined the Bike Colorado Springs Strava Club (or show your recorded morning commute), and score a FREE Cerberus beer!
