Manitou Springs is an important part of the Pikes Peak region, it also serves as one of the biggest tourist attractions in our community. Not only does it connect to Garden of the Gods, the number one rated park in the country, but it is also in bikeable distance for many of the Westside and Downtown Colorado Springs residents.
Manitou Springs, our neighbor to the west, is working on a wayfinding project with the help of Downtown Colorado Inc, and supported by a grant from the Department of Local Affairs and the Colorado Creative Industries. Over the past three months Wayfinding and signage consultants have visited Manitou and met with dozens of groups in need of signage support.
“Even though signage may not seem glamorous, the right sign in the right place can improve our quality of life. It can eliminate congestion, decrease stress and confusion and increase the movablity and livability of our community. This is big stuff.” –Natalie Johnson, MSCD
As the city moves forward with their wayfinding project, they are seeking input from a wide range of people via community surveys.
Weigh in either or both of the surveys included below:
The first is looking for your Manitou Springs experience and what you think should be highlighted or improved
Manitou Springs Signage & Wayfinding Community Survey
The second survey is more specific to the type of signage being proposed
Manitou Springs Signage & Wayfinding – Stakeholder Group Survey
Each take about 8 minutes to complete, please complete both surveys if time allows as they are looking for different information. But if you are short on time the Stakeholder Survey will provide the consultants with the most helpful information.
