Bridge replacement closing Greenway trail through 2025

REOPENED 5-28-2026 – The Pikes Peak Greenway trail under the newly constructed circle bridges has reopened.
From Trails an Open Space Coalition’s FB Post – “Just in time for Summer, the Pikes Peak Greenway is OPEN under the beautiful new Circle Drive Bridges!

We would like to thank the teams at the City of Colorado Springs Public Works Department for managing this nearly two year long, incredibly complex project that replaced four entire spans of bridges across Fountain Creek, Hancock Expressway, East Las Vegas St., the main Front Range freight line rails, and the Pikes Peak Greenway Trail. Improved non-motorized access above and across, and this newly renovated urban trail corridor below.”

Starting Nov 26th 2023 The Circle Dr Bridge Replacement project has closed a section of the Pikes Peak Greenway trail under the bridges through Fall of 2025. The City of Colorado Springs a signed and constructed a detour following a temporary trail alignment parallel to Circle Dr.
