Route 2 Change COS: Demand Safer Roads at USA Cycling HQ

Join The White Line Foundation for their Route 2 Change Colorado Springs event for a reception at USA Cycling Headquarters right here in Colorado Springs. This powerful event honors lives lost and advocates for a safer future for everyone on our roads.

Update: Bike Ride Canceled due to unforeseen emergency with the ride organizer

What is The White Line Foundation?

The White Line Foundation was created in honor of Magnus White, a young American cyclist who was tragically killed by a driver while training in Boulder. The foundation’s mission is to create safer roads for all vulnerable road users—cyclists, pedestrians, and more. They do this by raising awareness, gathering crucial data, and building a powerful grassroots network to demand stronger protections and systemic change.

About the Route 2 Change Event

This community reception is part of a series of events across Colorado to share impactful stories and gather community support to influence lawmakers. The goal is to push for stronger protections and accountability in the next legislative session. The launch event in Boulder was a huge success with over 250 people attending (Video Linked here), including lawmakers who came to listen. Now it’s our turn in Colorado Springs to show our support and make our voices heard.

What to Expect at the Colorado Springs Event

The evening will begin with the “Route 2 Change” bus tour, where local legislators, media, and crash victims will tour the Colorado Springs area, hearing firsthand accounts of road incidents. While the ride is canceled due to unforeseen emergency with the ride organizer, all are welcome to a free community reception from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM, featuring light food stations and mocktails. The reception will include powerful programming and victim storytelling, offering a space for the community to unite and advocate for this vital cause.
