Bike Colorado Springs received a nice mention in the latest edition of Bicycle Colorado’s eNewsletter. Bicycle Colorado is the premiere bicycle advocacy group in the state and a great supporter of local initiatives that promote bicycling infrastructure improvements. According to the newsletter:
These are exciting times for active transportation in and around Colorado Springs – notable milestones have been reached and there are meaningful projects on the horizon.
The newsletter cites the hiring of Kate Brady as the new Senior Bike Planner for Colorado Springs as one of those significant milestones. They also mention the upcoming Colorado Springs Bike Summit as another example of the momentum of the bicycle community in Colorado Springs. Look for more on the Bike Summit shortly.
The last paragraph of the article mentions Bike Colorado Springs with a link to this web site.
The community’s emerging advocacy group – Bike Colorado Springs – has been a key player in these accomplishments. Bicycle Colorado has enjoyed working with local partners to encourage these great steps that the city is taking and we look forward to continued collaboration with our partners in Colorado Springs.
Bicycle Colorado and Bike Bike Colorado Springs will continue to work toward a more bicycle friendly city and state. Thanks Bicycle Colorado for acknowledging our efforts.
